We get our cryogens from Trigas here in Houston and haven't had to sign an
agreement. However the price just went up to $6.75 per liter for helium.

We use a local company, Airgas for our cryogen (liquid helium, liquid argon
and liquid nitrogen)needs. So far, we have not had to sign an allocation
agreement. However, the supply is definitely tight, and supplies are hard
to get.

Dear colleagues,

Because of the helium shortage, our cryogen supplier Praxair recently
encouraged us to sign an allocation agreement with them. Basically, we are
to only purchase liquid helium from them for the next year or two and we
will probably receive less helium and experience delays. Our lawyers have
looked into this and discouraged us to sign the form. I was wondering if
your institution has signed an allocation agreement with your cryogen
supplier or decide to "ride the storm."

Please advise.
