Hello everyone

Here is a quick summary about the benchtop NMR:

Oxford and Bruker bench top systems are mainly used for time domain (TD) spectroscopy - mostly for relaxometry. It will depend on what experiments the undergraduates are going to do.

picoSpin runs only 1D 1H NMR experiments, there is also the 1D 19F NMR unit. It has a very small size and apparently easy maintenance.

The one system that seems to get more "points" is the Anasazi (either 60 or 90MHz), it is not really a benchtop but it does not take as much room as a superconductor NMR instrument. It will do 1H, 13C, 2D experiments (COSY, HETCOR) and other multinuclear accessories can be added.

There is one more that I was not aware of: http://www.magritek.com/products-ucs
They have very nice options for teaching and research, including NMR and MRI techniques.

I personally like the no-cryogen option!!

Now, if only I can find some funds for one.... ;-)

Thank you for the information.

Have a great day!!

Leila
