pcnfs for Linux

AMMRLers,

We recently replaced and sgi workstation with a pc/Red Hat Enterprise
Linux one. Unfortunately, it dod not come with pcnfs installed. I have
been having trouble getting it to install. I found a couple of versions,
but non will install for a variety of reasons. Before I spend much time
and effort forcing things, I though I would see if others have gotten
this to work.

(Why do we need this? We have an AC250 with an Aspect 3000. The path
to get data off has been: ZZnet over a serial cable to an old (old, old)
pc running DOS, zznet, and pcnfs. From the SGI, export a directory to
the pc, which is mounted and seen as disk "d"
Then, when we run zznet, we transfer the data to disk "d" which is
really the bruknet directory that the Xwinnmr "conv" command looks for.
This worked great, and was pretty robust.)

thanks,

kas
