Dear AMMRLers,

We are thinking about replacing our 14-year old VXR-400. One scenario calls for replacing the console only while keeping the original widebore Oxford magnet.

If we bring down the magnet, change o-rings, seals, gaskets etc refit and re-energize can we hope for a long living, healthy spectrometer or are we opting for trouble? Are there any major magnet components that need replacement?

Please share your thoughts and experiences.

Regards,
