Lexmark Printers

Hi folks

I've just finished installing a SUN Ultra-60 satellite data Station,
running Vnmr6.1C and Windows 2000
Professional. Deciding to be extravagant, included is a Lexmark Optra C710
color printer, and that's the problem. I created the plotter/printer using
./adddevices, which BTW has a Lexmark option. I put the IP address into
/etc/hosts

I cannot plot nmr spectra to the Lexmark. All that is plotted are pages
upon pages of what looks like ascii gibberish in a single column. Now
from a Shelltool, text can be printed as advertised.

I've got the Lexmark on the network. jpegs, Word Documents, etc., print
/ plot fine, from any remote computer (assuming the drivers are there).
But I cannot plot nmr spectra from the vnmr command line. Trying to be
cute, I saved the "page" command to a file { pl page('hulichicken') }.
I then tried to plot the spectrum via aShelltool {lp hulichicken}. The
result - same gibberish as before.

Any help out there in nmr land??

Thanks
