Here at UIC we currently have an opening for an electronics person to
replace a recent retirement. The text of the position advertisement is

University of Illinois at Chicago, Department of Chemistry invites
applications for an electrical engineer who will direct an electronics shop
and design/build specialized electronics for chemical research. This
individual will 1) administer and participate in the development and
maintenance of electronics instrumentation for research data measurement
and acquisition; 2) supervise a group of four electronics professionals who
service both customized and commercial benchtop instrumentation for
chemical research; 3) design and build computerized data acquisition
hardware (DAC/ADC), radio frequency electronics, low noise amplifiers, and
specialized power supplies; 4) participate in an electronics course for
chemistry students. The optimal applicant will have a B.Sc. or M.S. in
Electrical Engineering, at least 7 years experience in electronic
instrument design, and supervisory experience. Comparable experience will
be considered in place of above requirements. Applications will be
