I would like to call your attention to a meeting at the ENC,
titled "Standard Format for NMR Data", which is to be held at the
Asilomar Chapel, on Tuesday, March 24, starting at 7:00 p.m. All
are welcome to participate.
It is an informal meeting, intended primarily to gather the
experts and interested parties (such as software and instrument
developers), and open up lines of communication. Most likely, we
will not solve all the problems of NMR Data Sharing in one
evening, but it will be a step toward more efficiently developing
and gaining acceptance of a standard NMR data format.
Dr. Antony Davies (one of the developers of the JCAMP-DX format)
will give a general presentation to start the discussion. I hope
we can get some statements or short presentations from software
and/or instrument developers. If you have something you would like
to contribute, you may contact me to coordinate it, or just bring
it up at the meeting.
