About a year ago I asked a question regarding to the upgrade of the host
computer for our VXR-400s system along with the HAL board. It is
finally done this week, but, as most of us can imagine, comes with some
problems, among others, the annoying FIFO underflow one.
Varian said that I need to spend some big dollars to replace the Output
Board with a newer Acquisation Controller. I am just wondering if any of
you had upgraded your system without changing the output board and how, if
FIFO underflow happened to you, did you solve the problem before I send in
another PO.
