Hello all,
We have a working 4.7T imaging system available for free soon. You will just
need to arrange for rigging and moving, and complete paperwork of asset
transferring. If someone is interested in inheriting the whole system please
contact me.
The scanner was from Agilent App lab originally and installed here at University
of Florida in 2010. It has been a workhorse for many years. Some major parts are
listed as below:
1. 4.7T/33cm Oxford shielded horizontal magnet, about 30 yrs old. The magnet
was rebuilt in 2010. It takes about 250liter LHe every 3-4 month. The helium hold
time is better than original specs and the magnetic field drift is very good too.
The magnet is tentatively scheduled for de-energizing in May.
2. VNMRS console last upgraded in 2010, comes with 4x 1H transmit and receive
channels and 1 BB channel, currently runs vnmrj4.1 on Centos 6.10.
3. 1x 1KW AMT 3000B RF amplifier (6-220MHz), and 4x 100W RF amps
4. Some RF coils including homebuilt ones
5. Possible - IECO gradient amplifier (new 2014) goes if someone takes the whole
system, will keep for parts if I must part the system out.
6. Possible - Dell computer without hard drive
7. Please note no gradient coil is included as it is being re-used for our new
Bruker 7T. But for the brave mind - an Agilent 120/205HD gradient coil (new 2011)
is available with mounting hardware. The coil was originally used on our 11.1T so
the length of the coil is long (2.6 meter). It can be made to fit the 4.7T magnet
bore and then you will have a complete system.
I can provide more info and pictures if interested. By the way, our facility is
looking for a shielded 600MHz vertical magnet and is willing to pay. Let me know if
you have one or know someone has one available.
