Hello all,
Thanks for the responses from over 30 folks out there to date. For some
reason, I haven't seen my initial "thanks" (see below) I sent early
afternoon yesterday, so I'm sending this again so everyone knows that the
problem was (simply) resolved.
Hello all,
Thanks Dee H., Charlie D., Mike M., Jürgen S., Jane S. and Karen Ann S. for
your quick responses! I had thought of the Alpha Lock button solution, but
thought that whole issue was not the cause since we had de-activated this
button by gluing plastic spacers to the bottom of the key so it could not
be (de)pressed!
This turns out to be a good lesson on knowing your users as the last one
was a guy who knows just enough to be dangerous! Knowing one's limits is
something he doesn't know and so he somehow got under the Alpha Lock button
and disabled it- probably in an attempt to fix something else he really
didn't have a clue about. Of course, he didn't know this action caused the
EP mode problems.
Needless to say, I reset the Alpha Lock button and all is well with that
instrument (fingers crossed!). Thanks again for the reminders.
Paul
