While we are on the subject of RF power. I am looking for a reference
or the
formula for the calculation of SAR
I used to have a fairly easy formula ( which I cannot seem to find in
my notes)
for calculating the RF SAR for surface or volume coils. It included RF
pulse
duty cycle, mass to volume ratio of the coil and the part I cannot
remember is the "fudge"
or de-rating factor that was used to calculate the term for percentage
of loss
from the difference of the coil "Q " measurement from
loaded to unloaded. Does anyone recall the formula or the reference?
