Has anyone observed this error? I just had a remote session with Bruker
and they are stumped.
Every time Topspin launches, this error comes up. Clearing the error causes
\topspin to immediately attempt to restart, ending at the same error.
I have tried rebooting the workstation and the console. Also tried another
user. And I've reinstalled topspin. All result in the same error.
From the logs, when TopSpin 4.5.0 (Alma Linux) tries to start, it is giving
a message in the logs:
“Error in NMRDataServer: Cannot bring up corba server NMRDataServer on port 5505:
An unexpected condition was detected during
initialization of communication components.
Please refer to the server's log file for more information.
2025-06-20 21:12:40.672 CPR Error : The program failed to contact a data server.
Please inspect the protocol file for more information.”
The Bruker engineer also tried deleting the protocol folder so that it would be
repopulated - same result.
