Hi Ken,

As a rule of thumb, dry air is ok up to 60oC (I'd say 50 for safety).
Anything higher and there's risk of oxidizing some probe's electronics.

Here we use a small N2 container with a boiler transfer line that couples
where the BCU goes on the probe. Everything is then controlled by the BSMS.

Hope it helps,

Hi Everyone,

In the past we have not done much VT work in a temperature range which would
require N2 gas. With some recent upgrades has come increased VT capabilities
and I need to find a good way to provide either N2 gas or dry air to some
instruments.

We do not have house N2. I have, in the past used N2 boil off from LN2 tanks,
but I'm reticent to use this as the primary gas to our consoles.

Do you have any suggestions on a setup where it could air primarily and
switched to N2 gas when needed for extreme low or high temps during VT?

When is dry air suitable vs N2 gas?

Thanks for your time!
