We have a working 400 MHz NMR (Varian Unity plus) spectrometer available
for donation. The recipient will be responsible for the shipping cost.
The NMR spectrometer was originally purchased in 1988 with an Oxford magnet
(54 mm bore) and a 5-mm broadband double resonance solution NMR probe. The
software is UNIX based VNMR on a Sparc 5 workstation. The instrument is
currently fully functional with the exception of the variable temperature
unit (i.e. fully functional at room temperature) and is a work horse of our
walk-up NMR operation. The instrument has been well maitained. In the past
two years, we have not had any major problems with the instrument. We did
do a preventive maintenance to replace all the fans in the instrument about
a year ago.
