Research Officer - Animal Imaging (Ref: HFI 045)
The Howard Florey Institute is seeking to appoint a full time Research Officer/MR Physicist. The incumbent will be an integral member of the Animal Magnetic Resonance (MR) Imaging team, which forms part of the Neuroimaging Group at the Howard Florey Institute.

The incumbent will primarily manage the daily operation of the imaging and analysis equipment and will assist with preparation of animals for experimentation and imaging. The incumbent will also be responsible for independent analysis of the imaging data and assistance with interpretation of results. Other responsibilities will include routine maintenance of equipment and development and optimisation of imaging protocols and procedures.

Candidates must have a PhD or equivalent and proven experience in MR imaging and animal handling. Other desired attributes include familiarity with Unix/Linux computing and the ability to work both independently and as an effective team member.
