Dear AMMRL:
I was wondering if any of you had expertise with the molar ratio of the 2 rotomeric forms of a secondary or tertiary amide in a proton NMR spectrum. I am asking because I do lots of quantitative analysis by HNMR and if the ratio is fixed then I could develope macros that would focus on the major form signals and multiply those integrals by a correction factor to account for both rotomer forms of the compound. This would be advantageous when the signal to noise is low or there are interferences for one of the two signals.
Are there publications on this?
Thanks for your help.
Best regards,
Patrick Hays
