cryoprobe questions

Hi,
I have several questions regarding cryoprobe use-
1) Is anyone explicitly forbidding cpmg-T2 type experiments (especially
15N relaxation experiments on biomolecules)? I've seen some notes where
managers don't like putting the cpmg spin lock on the 15N channel for
the duration needed to finish a series of T2 measurements.

2) While most people I've spoken with run something akin to
cryo-noise-test to keep the coils clean, our Bruker engineer wasn't
familiar with that. Is this a Varian thing or do Bruker cryoprobe
owners routinely pulse the cryoprobe when it's not otherwise in use?

3) Our preamp power reserve drops significantly over time (~4% day),
meaning a warmup/cooldown cycle every few weeks. We've contacted Bruker
and they say a thorough cleaning of the helium compressor may be
required. Has anyone else encountered this problem, and if so, how was
if fixed?

Thanks,
David Horita
