It has been awhile since I sent out the message on "Problem on Acquisition"
with our Varian UNITY400 to solicit thoughts and helps.
First of all, many thanks to everybody who sent me the suggestions of how
to fix the problem. Indeed we have the problem fixed but I was too busy
to catch up work and did not get the chance to summarize the information.
I have received a tremendous amount of input and suggestions from you
folks. Many people suggested to use dsp='y', which seems working for many
users who have INOVA & UNITY PLUS system, but it did not work for us.
Finally it came down to a "new" defected acquisition board, which was used
to replace the old board initially for other problem. The problem was
fixed when the "new" board was replaced. Therefore, never assume the
"new" board is good and can fix the problem. In our case, it created
problems (one after the other one) for us.
