Hello All,
The Salk institute, in La Jolla, CA, intends to decommission a 500 MHz Oxford
shielded magnet (2 pictures attached). The magnet has been used for solution NMR
for about 20 years. There’s nothing wrong with it, however, the console
needs expensive repairs and our proximity to UC San Diego makes it much more
convenient for us to use the UCSD NMR facility. The magnet needs 60 L of Helium
every 2.5 months and it is refilled with nitrogen every two weeks. If anyone wants
it, please email me email within the end of August.
