Hi Sameer,
Acetone is one of the few solvents that do not respond well to molecular sieves
of any type: https://pubs.acs.org/doi/10.1021/jo00414a038 (see Table IV)
The end result is self-condensation and an increase in water content - you'd
be better off not using any at all! Can't say I've tried it myself, but
apparently B2O3 is the trick with this particular case.
