Hi,
Just adding 0.02 EUR: when planning to pump the line it may be worthwhile
inspecting and cleaning/re-greasing the O-ring embedded into the vacuum valve.
Attach the valve adapter to a supply line of dry nitrogen gas to break the vacuum
(avoiding moisture). When at ambient pressure, unscrew the valve screw all the
way to inspect (cracks? rubber gotten old?), clean & re-grease the O-ring
and valve seat. Now reassemble and pump.
