A neighboring institution has 500 Mhz VNMRS system with an Oxford Magnet
they are not using and cannot afford cryogens for any longer. They have
inquired as to whether they should just let it quench.
We may have the power sticks, etc to take it down. Does anyone have a
procedure for how this is done? Many moons ago we took down a magnet with
a 9V battery, but the procedure has been lost to dust and time.
