Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) Facility

The University of California, Davis, Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) Facility is seeking a Facilities Manager (Academic Coordinator) to provide leadership and operational management the Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Facility, and associated facilities and scientific and technical personnel. The NMRF offers state-of-the-art spectroscopy and imaging services, operating six spectrometers of varying purposes and capabilities, including four vertical-bore spectrometers with proton frequencies ranging from 400 to 800 MHz, which are largely devoted to structural characterization of proteins, nucleic acids and other organic and inorganic molecules, and for metabolomics; one horizontal-bore 7 Tesla spectrometer utilized for spectroscopy in vivo and imaging of small animals and materials, and for spectroscopy of perfused organs; and one spectrometer devoted to solid state NMR spectroscopy. Scientists and engineers from private industry, universities and state and federal government agencies utilize the state-of-the-art spectroscopy and imaging instrumentation facilities at NMR.
A Ph.D. or equivalent advanced degree in Chemistry, Physics or related discipline is required.
