  NMR Spectroscopist Position
An opening is available for an NMR Spectroscopist to join a team of
staff members running the NMR facilities at Vanderbilt University,
Nashville, TN. Seven Bruker Avance high-resolution spectrometers are
currently in operation on campus ranging from 300 to 800 MHz and
including three with cryoprobes. An additional 600 MHz LC-SPE-NMR
spectrometer with cryoprobe will be installed in spring 2006 and a
new 400 MHz system with sample changer is also on order.



The position requires at least a B.S. in chemistry, physics, or a
related field. Direct experience in high resolution NMR spectroscopy
is desirable. Responsibilities include assistance in user training,
set-up and running of experiments, routine maintenance, and
administration.



This position provides the opportunity for a motivated individual to

professional research and teaching environment. Strong communication
skills, reliability and responsibility, and the ability to work
within a team environment are essential. Compensation will be set
in accord with the training and experience, and includes an
