Looking for pointers on restarting a NEO spectrometer. Specifically, the
BSMS does not turn on. During the boot up, the PDU hangs on connecting to
the restartserver and after 20 minutes or so, the PDU indicates the
spectrometer is on but not booted. BSMS LEDs are off. Connections are secure,
ethernet cables have been reset, entire console has been power cycled and
‘cf’ fails. This appears to have been the result of a student
attempting to change an acquisition parameter in Icon, seeing an error
and decided to close extra windows (we’re running on a PC/Windows box).
Unfortunately, the command window for Topspin 4.1.3 was also closed.
I miss the days of powering up individual modules on the spectrometer… 😊
