For context, the linewidth on our recently-installed 400 iProbe is just under
5 Hz, and about 7 Hz on an older 400 2008-vintage BBFO with the older VT design.
These are all RT probes with minimal temperature gradients though, so you would
never expect to see this on a cryoprobe.
If you are targetting a nominal temperature gradient of 0.1-0.2 K on a cryoprobe,
then the linewidth should be on the order of 0.15-0.3 ppm.

I concur with Geoff. The 59 Co line should be much narrower. But to actually
see the natural line with there can be no temperature gradient.
You can again try here if you can narrow the line by adding to Z1. Based on
this data I would estimate that you are looking at about 100 - 150 units.
My suspicion is primarily airflow. Can you hook up a flow meter to the VT
gas line just where it goes into the probe. You should have a flow of over
500l/h (0.3 CFM)
Does the 59 Co line narrow if you increase the gasflow.
