Hi NMR gurus,

I just want follow up my previous request. I received a couple of replies that DO NOT DO IT!

I am reporting here that we moved this Oxford 400AS magnet in cold on truck to about 5 mile away to a new building. It is at field and reach lineshape specs now. Everything in specs, e.g. helium evaporation rate, etc. Job well done!

I am personally did following moves involving Bruker, JEOL, and Varian spectrometers past a few years. I would guess that the following specific cases may be also the first time ever be done:

1) Move an Oxford 500AS magnet from basement to 3rd floor at field;

2) Move an Oxford 400 magnet in cold to a different floor and different building inside passing through a ramp or a hill hallway.

Please let me know if someone did these also.

If someone is in these situation someday, feel free to contact me!

Thanks,
Feng

Hi all,

We have experiences to move Oxford 500AS, 400AS at field or at cold inside between floors, builds. I am wondering if anyone did move Oxford 400 magnet at cold on truck a few miles away!

Thanks,
Feng
