Hi,

I got an overwhelming resonance after my question. Please excuse, if I
don't mention every name.

Most people mentioned the japanese data base, which contains a low
resolution proton NMR spectrum of the substance. Unfortunately the
quality is bad, that's why I was looking for the substance itself.
Manfred Philipp gave me the provider address for the hydrate of this
substance.

A lot of people mentioned Dichloroacetaldehyde diethyl acetal as a
good substance to show an AX spectrum. The AX part indeed is very
clean and if there is no better solution, I will take this substance
to show students the AX case.
But the substance is ideal from another point of view: this is much better
for showing the effect of double prochirality than citric acid.

Thank you very much for all hints.

Meanwhile I have a really ideal AB example nearly ready. Some frequencies
are still missing (200 and 360), nevertheless the intermediate result is
visible at

I am not fully satisfied with the shim quality. But you know, if there
would
infinite time ....

Best regards

Rainer
