Dear collegues,
with some delay, I like to thank all who responded to my question
concerning VNMR/XWindows. The most helpful hint comes from Steve
McKenna: the problem was the screen resolution on the client pc. It must
be 1024x768 or better, then everything works fine. Obviously, the VNMR
software checks this resolution, and I do not know yet how to switch of
this feature. Nevertheless, the advantage is, that with my (very) old
laptop at home I can only reach 800x600....the weekends are much more
comfortable than before ;-))))))
