Howdy All,
We recently added to our NUTS shareware version (free for 30 days) the
ability to export JCAMP-DX5 NTUPLES 1D data. 2D exports are supported in
the NUTS 2D Pro version but 1D files only are supported in the shareware
version. The shareware version of NUTS does import the files in
question. User could imported the data in question and exported a
JCAMP-DX5 NTUPLES file.
http://www.acornnmr.com/shareware.htm
vnmr and xwinnmr are reported to be able to import JCAMPDX-5 files but
some of our customers report problems on those platforms importing
NUTS's exported JCAMPDX-5 NTUPLES files. We have addressed many of the
reported problems, but I expect there are more "gotchas". The problem
here is that the JCAMP-DX5 NTUPLES "standard" has a very loose
definition with lots of room for "vendor specific parameters" which can
create problems. NUTS does read and write files compatible with the
test files posted on the web by the JCAMP organization, but I am unsure
that vnmr or xwinnmr can read NUTS's JCAMP-DX5 NTUPLES exports. If these
programs do read the exported files, then this would be a way to
transfer spectra from the MANY file formats supported by NUTS to any
program that can read JCAMP-DX5 NTUPLES files.
If anyone tries this, I would appreciate reports. If there are problems
we can identify then we can correct them.
