Symptoms include:
-No lock signal deflection when setting pfgon to 'nny',
-Red "error" led on amp is on (Highland L700, 10A),
-Red led on PFG interface board is on,
-Setting pfgon='nny' in the software (Vnmr6.1A) lights the green led
below the reset button on the PFG board,
-Running p2pul (cmd='twinkle') gives the desired led flashes on
interface board.
Working with Varian tech support, we have replaced the amplifier and
should receive another PFG i.f. board later today. Fuses in the amp are
good. The connection from the amp to the probe checks out. Same
symptoms with either PFG probe.
The PFG unit was added about a year after initially setting up the
instrument, hence we have no schematics.
Any suggestions would be most appreciated.
