Two questions. All helps are greatly appreciated.
1. Our 400 MHz high power (500 W) RF amplifier is unbearably noisy.
For shaped pulses, we can not use in-line diodes. I was told that
there was an abstract at a recent year ENC about an ingenious design
of a high power PIN diode switch. I failed to find the abstract in
my 37th and 38th abstract books. Anyone knows the source of the
work, or has any other suggestions to cut down the noise (including
places to buy quiet amps)?
2. We are looking for places to buy quiet/stable (10A) current
amplifiers to drive PFG. We have three Techron 7700 series. They
are great for imaging but simply too jumpy for high-res. Anyone
knows of a stand-alone unit that takes differential input and has a
10 A amplification with a slew rate <100 us?
Thanks!
