I have one 6000 kVA TrippLite for each of our AV-III-600, AV-IIIHD-400, and
NEO-400
https://www.pcnation.com/tripp-lite-su6000rt4utf-da1046
They give 20-30 minutes battery power. The oldest one (14 years) had one
battery change after 8 years.
I keep everything plugged into them, console, BCU, PC
Best Regards,
Jürgen

Hi All,
Thank you for this discussion as we are also looking for new UPS(s) for our
NMR and a new LC-MS. We had two UPS's for our two Bruker 500 MHz systems.
The newer one was a Staco UPS and never worked even after replacing the batteries.
It failed every single time there was a power outage. It also failed any time
we tried to do temperature experiments when the BCU kicked on. The older one
(approximately 30-40 years old) has never failed and lasts for at least 30 minutes.
That one was from Best Power, which sadly, doesn't appear to be in business any
longer.
As for the newer UPS that failed, my feeling is that it did not meet the kVA
requirements of the spectrometer (AVANCE II) but I really don't know and it
was purchased before I started working here. If someone could comment on the
kVA requirements for a Bruker 500 MHz w/ NEO console, I would appreciate it.
The other variable is how long the UPS stays on after an outage. I live close
to work, so if the UPS stays on for >20-30 minutes I can rush in and do a
proper shutdown if there is an outage. So that's another consideration.
Thanks for your feedback.

Hi –
We are looking into installing an uninterrupted power supply for our labs
(three Bruker spectrometers). I’ve got a recommendation from Bruker,
but I wanted to offer management several options before we pick one.
What UPSes do you guys recommend? Are there any that people have found work
particularly well?
Thank you!
