Hi all,

This is not NMR-specific, but we have a number of instruments that our IT folks don’t care for because they are not on Windows 10 and have the associated security liabilities and such. I would like to try running some of them on W10 with a virtual machine for the appropriate OS version. However, there are some concerns with instruments (particularly drivers and such) that give me a bit of pause. Does anyone have experience running older spectrometers (NMR, MS, IR, etc.) on virtual machines and have you encountered problems with this. I’d be very interested in your input.

If there is a more appropriate forum for geriatric instruments, I’m happy to inquire there also😊

All the best,
Rick
