AMMRL: Proficiency test for the determination of the content of organic substances in a three-component mixture using NMR spectroscopy

For those of you who have to take part in proficiency testing (or would
like to, even if it's not mandatory for them), the interlaboratory comparison
organized by BASF and AQS Baden-Wuerttemberg might be of interest. It is open
for international participants! If you have any questions, please do not
hesitate to contact either me or the organizers.

AQS Baden-W-rttemberg in co-operation with BASF SE, Ludwigshafen,
is organising a proficiency test on the above-mentioned topic. The
mixture used in the PT will have the following components:

* 1,2,4,5-Tetrachlor-3-nitrobenzol (> 1 mg / 100 mg)
* 1,2,4,5-Tetramethylbenzol (> 1 mg / 100 mg)
* 2,4-Dichlorobenzotrifluorid (main component)

Each participant will get 1 sample. The sample mass will be around 200 mg.
Samples will be distributed in screw-capped GC vials.

Dates, deadlines and dispatch

* Deadline for registration: 15 February 2022
* Dispatch of samples: 15 March 2022
* Results submission: 05 April 2022

Dispatch of the samples will be undertaken by courier service. Within
Europe you will receive the samples usually one day after dispatch.

 Sample analysis

Participants are free to choose a suitable analytical method. The
samples must be analysed in your own laboratory with your own personnel
and equipment. Subcontracting of the analysis is not permitted.

Result submission

Details will be provided with the samples.

Evaluation

Evaluation of participants' results will be achieved using a reference
value from sample formulation as an assigned value, if possible.
Otherwise, a robust mean of participants' data will be used. The
standard deviation of participants' data will be used as standard
deviation for proficiency assessment. The usual assessment for z-scores
will be used:

* |z| 2.0 successful
* 2.0 < |z| < 3.0 questionable
* |z| 3.0 not successful

Participation fee

Participation fee will be Euro 400 plus transportation costs
(express shipping from Germany).

www.aqsbw.de/en. The deadline for registration is 15 February 2022.
