Dear Guangyu,

We consider it safe with respect to MRI, but allow individuals to make their own choice. It may be prudent to stay away from rf-exposure although that may be very limited close to vertical narrow bore magnets.

Dear colleagues,

NMR generally is safe to us at most times. But is it still safe when the female NMR spectroscopist is pregnant? Does she have to keep a safe distance from the magnet or /and the console to avoid the stray magnetic field and the emitting radio frequencies?

I would like to hear from you about the practice in your lab, especially from our women colleagues.

Thank you!

Guangyu
