I was able to find out that the diodes in the Preamp with part number
01906524-00 are the same as what I had already replaced in the other
preamps just in a different mount. Varian told me there were not 2 sets of
schematics and that the diodes were the same specs. So I went looking for
different variations of what I had already replaced.
In the preamp 969890-01 you need 4P404-30 diodes at CR1, CR2, and CR11. In
the preamp 01906524-00 you need diode 4P404-258 at CR1, CR2, and CR3 (this
is a threaded screw mount diode). Again these are the same diodes they
just mount differently. I was able to purchase MA-4P404-30 from Richardson
Electronics for ~$16.00 each. They can get MA-4P404-258 but they want a
min. order of 150 at ~$25.00 each. I have not found a better price yet.
What I think I am going to do is make my own mounts for the MA-4O404-30
and use them instead in all the Preamps.

Hello all
I was wondering if anyone out there has the schematics for the Varian
Broadband preamp part number 01906524-00. The schematic number should be
01906523 and the actual board part number is 01906520-00. I have the
schematic for part number 969890-01 which should be very similar. However
the components used are different. I need the parts list that is
associated with this schematic so I can replace the diodes at positions
CR1-CR3.
There are no markings on these diodes so I can not order a replacement.
