LN monitors

Dear All: Over the last few months both of my 44mm Oxford 300's developed
problems with the LN meters. These are 2 separate systems. Roy VanVliet
had a similar problem and told me that he found graphite used for lubicant
had migrated and shorted the sensor.
My sensors both looked resistive to a few hundred KOhms, or so.
Upon dissembly I found they were dirty, but not gross. After cleaning,
reassembly and recalibration they are fine.
I used super glue to hold the plastic spacers in position to avoid
any lubicant.
These were installed in 1987. Cheers, Lew
