This issue was self inflicted. Thanks to advice from Clemens Anklin,
realized that I miss identified which evolution times went with the proper
dimensions. That resulted in two errors, the columns of my
hmsIST NUS list was inverted; and the negative delay was then due to the
sweep width in the "other dimension". I was doing the mental calculation
based on the opposite one, thus I suspected some failure with the custom
NUS list.
When using the automatic list, it does a self correction, to reduce TD2, thus
does not produce that error. I've made those corrections and the pulse
sequence / experiment now runs.
