Dear all,
We are currently in the process of upgrading some of our NMR spectrometers and in this context we need to replace the old BACS sample changers as they are no longer compatible with the new Bruker consoles.
The current Bruker sample changer, SampleCase, only allows the use of NMR tubes with a maximum length of 230 mm. The problem are NMR tubes equipped with a Teflon valve (J. Young valve) and these are usually longer than 230 mm. We have several hundred of these tubes in use. As an example, I have taken a picture of three tubes (see below). The red line represents the maximum tube length.<dummyfile.0.part>
Bruker tells us that it is not possible to modify the SampleCase for longer tubes and that we should get shorter tubes.
I think that many of you have or will have this problem in the future and it would be useful to get the manufacturers to come up with a solution. What do you think?
Best regards
