Greetings Ammrlers-

To make room for our new 700 MHz system, we will be de-energizing and removing the old Varian INOVA500 system from its location.

First and foremost- does anyone have or know off hand the specs of the diodes/small voltage supply required for de-energizing the magnet without the main power supply? (I haven't yet received any specifics back from the vendors I've asked). The magnet is roughly a 20 yr old Oxford 500/51 magnet (unshielded, of course), and I believe if I read the installation data correctly, has 65 amps in the main coil. Also, how much helium should be in the can when de-energizing this way?

Secondly, if anyone is interested in the above magnet, please let me know off list. Its been rock stable over these 20 yrs without being resealed. I would prefer to give away just the magnet (packing and shipping your responsibility) as the INOVA console is analogous to my other INOVA500 and worth its weight in spare parts. (that said, it could be negotiable)

Thanks and let me know about either item ASAP.

Neal
