Dear All
We have had a problem for a few weeks now regarding lock stability on
our Varian Inova 500. Irrespective of the solvent/temperature/time of
day/type of experiment/duration of experiment/User(!) the lock level
drops (say from 80 to 10%)sometime during the experiment (when it drops
varies and is experiment independent). The thing is when I call back
the shims that were saved before the experiment is started the lock
level goes back to where it was before and all looks fine. Flags are NOT
set to autolock or auto shim and we are not using hardware shimming
during the experiment. Any thoughts?
Thanks,
Julie

PS. The Varian UK people are looking into this but as we are keen to get
lots of work done during the (quite) Christmas break I thought I would
ask this network too.
