Hello All, and Happy Holidays-
I am aware that Bruker and Varian shim stacks have different
diameters - I believe the Varian shim stack is larger - and this is
one reason the probes are not interchangeable. I am wondering if it
is possible to stick a "Bruker" probe (a probe made for a Bruker shim
stack) into a Varian system and get any reasonable results. I am not
interested in spinning, so the fact that the Varian and Bruker spin
systems are much different doesn't matter.
If anyone has done this, or knows if it definitely can or cannot be
done, I would be very interested. If you even know the exact
dimensions of the Varian shim stack for a typical 300 (diameter and
distance to center field from the bottom), that would be useful.
Thank you in advance, I will post any useful info I receive.
