I'm in a bit of a situation here, and I need to gather data from my
fellow NMR Facility Managers at Public U.S. Academic Institutions.
If you are in a public university in the U.S., could you please reply
directly to me with the answer to the following question(s):
Question 1. Is your position (the position of the primary facility
Manager/Director) fully state-funded, i.e. not tied to the charge-back
(or cost-recovery) account used for the facility operation (Yes/No)?
Question 2. If Answer #1 is "No", what percentage of your salary (the
primary manager/director) is charged to the cost-recovery account for
the facility?
All answers will remain anonymous, but I will post an anonymous summary
if requested.
