Dear AMMRL people,
We have Varian Inova Unity 400 with Indirect PFG probe. We experience spinning
problems during and after VT experiments (lowest temp was -90oC). We use ultra
pure N2 for VT. Usually it takes more than a week for spinning to return back
to work again.
Two weeks ago one user did VT experiments with indirect PFG probe at -90oC,
temperature fluctuated between -75 to -85oC. Now we can not run any VT
experiments (both low and high temp) because of "HR error". My guess is
that after low temp VT experiments (-90oC), we got a crack on that indirect PFG
probe.
Did some one also experience similar problems with VT? Could you please comment
on if low temp VT should be run with indirect pfg probe or autoswitable pfg
probe? And how low VT could go with indirect pfg probe? Does low temp VT affect
the performance of pfg probe?
Thanks a lot for your help.
