We had a _nasty_ problem which destroyed the mail_spool directory on the =
mail server. Although, messages (for the most part) still got through, =
the messages that would have been stored for web-archive were =
permanently lost.
On the Web-archive, (http://www.chem.unl.edu/ammrl/archives/ ) you will =
notice that the first-half of August has been archived separately. The =
"Current-Month E-Mail" link will only show messages since I fixed the =
problem.
I believe that one or two messages may have passed through the AMMRL =
list before noon today, and I would have no way of knowing about it (all =
mail-spool directories were trashed, including my own).
If you sent a message that may not have been archived (between midnight =
Sunday, and noon today), please check the above web-link to see if your =
message was archived either on the "First-Half of August" list, or in =
the "Current Month" archive. If you don't see it, please forward a copy =
to me personally so that I can put it on the archive without everyone =
having to receive a duplicate.
Sorry for the inconvenience...training a new graduate assistant who just =
learned the power of "rm -r *" as root...ouch!
Best regards,
Rich Shoemaker
