Joe,
While I have a liq. He sensor on our AMX, it has in the past
had an ice block and after that time would not read below 83%. Taking the
top assembly off to remove the sensor apparatus is not something I would
like to do in the field. When we had the system moved to a new lab, that
problem corrected itself.
However, I have always monitored the amount of helium added at
each fill and calculated the percent per week loss of the cryostat. In
this way, I use the sensor as an indicator and not the final authority.
