Dear AMMRL members,

Below is a description of a postdoctoral position that is available in our
laboratory. Please share this with interested members of your group. All
inquiries should be directed to prof.dr. C.J. Elsevier at the address below.

VACANCY for a post-doctoral co-worker

Universiteit van Amsterdam, J.H. van 't Hoff Research Institute

Subject:
Organorhodium chemistry and 103Rh NMR

Scholarship by SON/NWO (Netherlands Organization for Pure Research).

The project deals with the synthesis (at least 50% of the time) of series of
organorhodium compounds and acquiring 103Rh, 14 and 15N NMR data of these
compounds. The relationship between complex structure as determined by ligands,
and the Rh chemical shift will be evaluated. This is relevant to the development
of NMR of d-elements. We strive to be abe to do the reverse: obtain structural
information from or with aid from the transition metal NMR data.

Requirements: Ph.D. in chemistry, preferably synthetic organometallic chemistry,
with experience in NMR spectroscopy.

Period: 12 - 15 months, starting a.s.a.p. but not later than November 1, 1997.

Applications (with CV, list of publications and names of two references) to
