We have placed a purchase order for a 400 MHz Bruker spectrometer
and I am preparing the room to house the new spectrometer.
We obviously need a supply of clean, dry air and the Whatman
sales representative recommends the Balston 64-20 NMR Gas Generator
System. He also reommends a heavy duty oilless compressor, a 5 HP three-phase
unit which costs ca. $6,000. I have the feeling that the compressor is
overkill. I am reluctant to use house air.
Recommendations on how to provide clean air are welcome.
