Another thing you could try would be to rpar topshim1d1h and look at the routing.
Click the "show probe wiring" button to show the complete signal path from console to probe.
If something is mixed up in there it should be visible. Before you run expinstall
make sure the preamp-probe connections are correct--run edprobe and click the "edit probe
wiring" button (or whatever it says) and make sure that the connections between the preamp
and probe are shown.

Something must be wrong in your Topshim setup, or in in the parameters sets
it is using (topshim1d1h) ...
Did you try running "expinstall" again to update all parameter sets?
